  DESIGNED TO SERVE GOD Psalm 139:13-18 Devotional:- “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!” (V. 16 NLT)   God designed and formed you to fit into what He wants you to do to serve Him. The intended function determines the form of a building, so also your life. You are the way you are because you were made for specific ministry (Ephesians 2:10) Our scripture today simply means nothing that happens in your life is insignificant. God will never waste any ability unless He intend to use it for His glory (1 Peter 2:9) Before God will give you any assignment, He must have packaged you for it. This packaging is what we call shape (Jeremiah 1:5). Let us look at the meaning of each letter in your shape. The ‘S’ represents Spiritual gifts. These are special God-empowered abilities for serving Him, giving only to believers (1 Cor. 2:14). These gift cannot be bought because they are given by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:11). LOVE HIM SUPREMELY

Scripture Reading: Matthew 22:34-40
Devotional:- “Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'”’ (V. 37)

    For us to be able to worship God effectively demands that we love Him supremely. To love God supremely means, He is higher than all men and all things in your life. Praise goes beyond singing or playing instruments. It goes beyond dancing and clapping of hands. It springs right from our heart. So, the state of our heart is so vital, if our praises will be acceptable to God. That is why Jesus said, we must worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:24).

The word of God says, we should love God with all our heart, our soul and with our entire mind. Then, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. God’s love must be vertical and that of man horizontal. So, the love of God in our heart must be different from the dimension at which we love men. It must be far greater than it all. To love Him supremely means you are willing to drop human offer to obey and praise Him.

The level we place God in our heart determines the state of our heart in worship. Our praises must be from a heart of true love. We are commanded to love Him and allow His love to determine our thinking, our decisions and our actions. This is the true act of praises. In this, our praises can be strong enough to bring God into our situations. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, plant the seed of your love in my heart.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
