WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

BEAUTIFUL LOOK

BEAUTIFUL LOOK

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 15:10-15
Devotional:- “A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken” (V. 13)

It is always said that beauty is in the eyes of those that sees it. This means, when you have a beautiful heart, you will have a beautiful eye. And when you have beautiful eyes you will see beauty in every one that you see. But many don't see beauty in others. This is because of how they are.

The word of God tells us how we can build a beautiful heart, a beautiful eye and a beautiful face. This is by keeping a merry heart and this come through praise. The word of God says the state of the heart of people determines the state of their look or their beauty (Proverbs 23:7). That is why I am encouraging you to choose to be a praiseful believer. It will enlist you among the beautiful.

Praises produces beauty better than powder and all the manicure etc. Anytime you are going out, don't ever forget to praise God before you go out. Always put praises in your bag as you go out. There are many people out there with a bitter heart. Don't let them contaminate you with sorrow. When you hear information of sorrow, quickly bring out your praises and continue your beauty. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to overcome the spirit of sorrow with praises.

“A PRAISEFUL HEART CREATES A BEAUTIFUL LIFE”
