  DESIGNED TO SERVE GOD Psalm 139:13-18 Devotional:- “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!” (V. 16 NLT)   God designed and formed you to fit into what He wants you to do to serve Him. The intended function determines the form of a building, so also your life. You are the way you are because you were made for specific ministry (Ephesians 2:10) Our scripture today simply means nothing that happens in your life is insignificant. God will never waste any ability unless He intend to use it for His glory (1 Peter 2:9) Before God will give you any assignment, He must have packaged you for it. This packaging is what we call shape (Jeremiah 1:5). Let us look at the meaning of each letter in your shape. The ‘S’ represents Spiritual gifts. These are special God-empowered abilities for serving Him, giving only to believers (1 Cor. 2:14). These gift cannot be bought because they are given by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:11). SURRENDER TO GOD

Scripture Reading: Romans 12:1-8
Devotional:- “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him” (V. 1) NLT

     Praises is an act of surrendering to God. When people surrender in battle, they hand up. That is why we lift up our hands when we are praising God. It's a pity people do that today without knowing the meaning neither do they mean that (Psalms 63:4; 134:2). Lifting up of hands mean to surrender to an authority recognized as superior.

The word of God ask us to surrender our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. The word of God says this is the true way to worship God (Romans 12:1)NLT. So, it means worship and praises will not be sincere if we don't first surrender. People who worship without surrendering are known as pretenders. Their heart is not true. Their intention is corrupt (Mark 7:6). But this is what most people do often. They lift up hands in the place of worship but they disobey God at will.

Friend, the time has come to make up your mind to surrender to God. Give yourself sincerely as a living sacrifice to God. This means you have to be dead to self but alive to God (Romans 6:1-6). Self is the mentality we have grown up with in our culture and tradition that is contrary to the will of God (Romans 12:2). The Bible says we should unlearn those things. To be dead to self means to be separated from the lifestyle that is contrary to the word of God. This is what it means to be praiseful. This is what it means to be obedience to God and to live in righteousness. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, help me to truly surrender to you

“LIVING IN CONSISTENT OBEDIENCE IS THE SIGN OF TRUE SURRENDER”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
