  ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. PLEASURE MENTALITY

Scripture Reading: Luke 8:11-15
Devotional:- “Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity” (v. 14) NKJV 

    One of the tricks of the devil to make people weak in this generation is the deceitfulness of pleasure. Man in their natural state tend to be deceived into pleasure mentality. There is nothing wrong in having pleasure, but pleasure mentality takes delight in idleness and continuous enjoyment. There is no one who want to focus on continuous enjoyment that will not fail at last in life (Proverbs 21:12).

Such people see what is the normal way of life from angle of fun or pleasure. It is a normal thing for man to eat but when food is taking with pleasure mentality, it becomes what people unnecessarily crave for. It is normal for people to relax in a pool once a while, if there is an opportunity. It is normal for a man and a woman to have sex in marriage. It is made by God and righteous but when taken with pleasure mentality, it becomes a trap. The spirit of the devil will always take advantage of people with pleasure mentality. Such spirit makes man to take continuous relaxation of irresponsibility as pleasure. The truth is that, irresponsibility will waste the strength of anyone (Ecclesiastics 10:16-18). This can lead people into the mentality of get rich quick which leads to robbery and murdering.

Friend, repent of your wrong ways of life to gain strength in God. To relax after a hard day work is wisdom but to take it as a life style and sit down to watch films for hours daily is called waste (1 Corinthians 6:12). Your destiny will not waste in Jesus name. Moses became great by avoiding pleasure (Hebrews 11:25). Don't let the devil waste your life. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from pleasure mentality.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
