COMPARISM

COMPARISM 2 Corinthians 10:7-18 Devotional:- “Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” (v.12) NLT. Man, by his complexity, sometimes creates complications for himself in life. One of the things we often do incorrectly is to measure our lives by comparing them to other people’s lives. We often forget that we are sent for a different purpose, so our goals and objectives cannot be the same. There is nothing wrong with trying to gauge your level of performance against others in the same field. But it will be completely wrong for you to determine whether you are a failure or a success by the life of another man. Paul, the apostle of Christ, knows that his own purpose and program are from the Lord and are different from what others have been given. For example, if some apostles were marr...

MENTAL STRENGTH

MENTAL STRENGTH

Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 2:6-16
Devotional:- “For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ” (v. 16) NKJV

Our mind is the processor for our strength. Our mind is the place where the strength of life is directed before it manifests physically. That is why it is the state of the mind of a man that determines the strength of his life. No matter how strong spiritually a man could be, if the mind is not cooperating, the man will still be weak. It is the mind that is the battle ground of life. That is why you must avoid sin to avoid condemnation. The act of condemnation will always break down the strength of the mind. If anyone is walking after the flesh or worldly way the devil will always push such to condemnation (Romans 8:1).

By your mind I am referring to your soul. Your soul is having three compartments: the intellect, the will and the emotion. The intellect think, the will decide and the emotion drives your actions. For a soul to be strong, you must mind what you are thinking, this will determine your decision and action (Proverbs 4:23). A strong mind will do everything to retain positive and possible thought always. This is not always easy except by the help of the Hoy Spirit.

To keep a strong mind, then labor to store the word of God in your mind (Colossians 3:16). The word of God is always positive. When it constitutes your thinking, it will strengthen your mind for right action and for right result. The word of God will give you value in life. That is why it will produce in you good success (Joshua 1:8). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to build a strong mind.

“YOUR MIND IS THE SIT OF YOUR STRENGTH OR WEAKNESSES”
