COMPARISM

COMPARISM 2 Corinthians 10:7-18 Devotional:- “Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” (v.12) NLT. Man, by his complexity, sometimes creates complications for himself in life. One of the things we often do incorrectly is to measure our lives by comparing them to other people’s lives. We often forget that we are sent for a different purpose, so our goals and objectives cannot be the same. There is nothing wrong with trying to gauge your level of performance against others in the same field. But it will be completely wrong for you to determine whether you are a failure or a success by the life of another man. Paul, the apostle of Christ, knows that his own purpose and program are from the Lord and are different from what others have been given. For example, if some apostles were marr...

FULFILLING DESTINY

FULFILLING DESTINY

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 17:31-40
Devotional:- “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God." (v. 36) NKJV

It's important you realize that you are in this world to carry out an assignment for God. That is your purpose. The only people who are counted successful in this world by God are those who fulfill their purpose. For you to be able to fulfill your purpose on earth, you must be very strong. This is because; your purpose is a part of divine agenda in fulfilling the plan of God. Though, the devil will do everything to stop your purpose but you must become unstoppable.

For you to be able to fulfill your purpose, you must have a firm standing in your God. Everything around David wanted to stop him, even the king. But David became stronger than all of them. He kept declaring that God will help me. Bringing Goliath down was one of his first destiny assignment. You observed that David did not face Goliath with real or serious physical weapon. He trusted in the Lord, his God (Psalms 20:6-8).

Friend, fulfilling your destiny demand that you are strong in the Lord. Surely, the enemy will rise (Isaiah 54:15). There will be many discouraging factors. Yet, the God who helped David is still alive. Take it as a life project to be strong in the Lord by meditatively studying the word of God and creating time to be with God in prayers. Then, your destiny shall be fulfilled. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, reveal to me the way of strength
