DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES

DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:12). Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created (John 1:3). When a man, therefore, distances himself from the Word of God, such is distancing himself from his source, He will lack the strength of God.

WALKING WITH GOD

WALKING WITH GOD

Genesis 5:18-24
Devotional “And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” (V. 24)

Faith is walking with God. To walk with God is to follow God in the journey of life. Most people want God to follow them but faith walks with God. To walk with God is to always allow Him to lead and direct us in all things, I mean in all things (Proverbs 3:5-6).

It’s important you know that you do not come to this world for yourself, God sent us here to carry out an assignment for Him. That is why He will be in the best position to direct our steps if we are going to be justified before Him (Psalm 37:23). That is when He will delight in our ways.

To walk with God who is a spirit demands total faith. This is because a lot of His ways will not be visible to our mind and yet we have to follow. Enoch walk with Him and was translated, Abraham walked with Him and became an eternal testimony. God instructed Abraham to walk with Him (Genesis 17:1). David walked with Him and became the friend of God. No one walks with Him and remain the same. This is because in walking with God, you will need to allow the will of God to be done through you and that way, you will become the delight of God. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to walk with you all my life

“IT IS THE ONE YOU ARE WALKING WITH THAT YOU WILL LOOK LIKE”
