CONTENTMENT I Timothy 6:3-12 Devotional:- “Now godliness with contentment is great gain.” (V.6) 6 NKJV For anyone to sustain the spirit of joy, he must learn to exercise godliness with contentment. One major reason why people quickly lose their joy is their fear of lack. This is a feeling of losing what they have. This is a fear of unknown or undefined unexpected problems that may occur. In the scripture we read today, God’s word explains to us about something that is of great gain to us. The word contentment means to be calm and at peace in every situation. It means not to worry but expect the best of every challenge. The godliness that the Bible talks about here is to remain in your godly virtues, no matter what is happening. This will make you find it easy to believe God for supply, and it shall be so. And in the midst of this, you will have peace and joy. Friend, if you still have a problem with letting money go, thinking of how you would get it back or getting worried about ...

SACRIFICING

SACRIFICING

Hebrews 11:17-19
Devotional:- “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son” (V. 17)

Faith is sacrificing. This is an act of wiliness to part with something so dear to you because God instructed you. Sacrificing is an act of obedience to honour and worship the Lord. Whatever you sacrificed to honour God becomes an instrument of worship. God will always test anyone He wants to bless with an instruction to sacrifice. It is when you obey that you are ready for promotion (Genesis 22:1-3).

Abraham was called a man of faith because he believed God for a child for twenty five years. After Isaac came, God tested him and he passed. Then God gave a promise with an oath to bless him and his generations forever (Genesis 22:16-18)

Friend, it will take a sacrifice to move to a new realm with God in any field of endeavor. The moment it is an instruction or a conviction in your heart, move with no hesitation to obey God. Some people are stagnated because they refused to obey God. There is nothing anyone have today that will be forever except when God keep flowing to you with His favour. Friend, don’t stagnate your destiny, take a prompt decision to obey the Lord. Whatever He is asking you to sacrifice cannot be compared with His coming blessings for you (John 12:24). Be willing to sacrifice anything you have in obedience and you will move forward. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always be humbled to obey you.
