DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES

DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:12). Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created (John 1:3). When a man, therefore, distances himself from the Word of God, such is distancing himself from his source, He will lack the strength of God.

PRAISE AT WAR

PRAISE AT WAR

2 Chronicles 20:20-30
Devotional:“Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated” (V. 22)

Faith is praising God at the war front. It is your ability to hold yourself together and appreciate God in the midst of unpleasant situations (1 Thessalonians 5:18). It is seeing God as a good God when all things look so bad (Psalm 100:5). Faith is rejoicing in the mercy of the Lord when it looks like all hope is lost (Romans 4:18-20).

The enemy came against the children of Judah. These nations aligned forces together to totally destroy them. But notwithstanding, those factor of fear, they obey the servant of God to face the war in a praiseful way. And they earn Heaven’s book of record victory over the enemy.

Friend, remember God inhabit the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3). So, when you can praise God in the midst of the storm, you are giving Him an invitation to step into your situation. Paul and Silas did the same and they got the same result (Acts 16:24-34). Whatever the case may be, don’t stop praising God over that matter. Then your victory is certain because God will honour your faith. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to be praiseful in all situation
