GROWING

GROWING Ephesians 4:9-16 Devotional:- “But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head of Christ” (V. 15) God’s plan and desire is that we grow up. So many Christian today are growing older but not growing up. Many are stocked in perpetual spiritual infancy. This is because they never intend to grow. Spiritual growth is not automatic, it takes intentional commitment. You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort and persist in growing. Discipleship is the process of becoming like Christ (Matthew 10:25). In your spiritual growth, God has a part and you have a part. To be Christ-like you will need to make Christ like choices and depend on the Holy Spirit to help you fulfill those choices. The moment you are ready, you will need to let go of some old routines and develop some new habits. You will need to intentionally change the way you are thinking (Philippians 2:12-13). To work out your salvation with fear and trembling means to take you...

CONCEPTION

CONCEPTION

Genesis 21:1-7
Devotional:- “For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him” (v. 2)

Faith is the ability to conceive. It is by faith that a woman can receive the strength to conceive (Hebrews 11:11). Some times because some things have become a regular experience, we tend to forget the fact that there is a process to it. That is why you must not allow science to just explain some things that can take away the aspect of God. That way, we tend to think they just happened, so, when they fail we get confused.

The scripture we read today tells us that Sarah conceived in her old age of 90 years, this was simply an act of faith (Hebrews 11:11). And by faith anyone can conceive. The process was that she received a word spoken by the angel of God to her and unconsciously she started expecting. No one else would have spoken to her in such way at her age and expect her to agree. It will look wrong naturally but when God speaks and we believe, the case is settled (Mark 9:23). Faith starts from the word of God (Romans 10:17). Then, our believe in the word set our spirit, soul and body in agreement with the word and something in us start expecting. The word of God is the seed of faith, but when there is doubt, we destroy the seed (Mark 11:24).

Friend, God’s word commands you to conceive from today (Genesis 1:28). Take this word personal. Let your spirit, emotion and feeling accept it. Do you think He that creates the world by His word will speak to your life and will fail? This time next year, you will be with your baby (2 Chronicles 20:20). Your case is settled in Jesus name. Congratulations!

Prayer: Lord, I receive your word today and conceive in Jesus name.

“IF YOU CAN SET YOUR THINKING ACCORDINGLY, IT IS DONE”
