FORMED FOR GODS FAMILY Hebrews 2:5-18 Devotional:- “For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings” (V. 10) The second major purpose of your creation is that you are formed for Gods family (1 John 3:1) God wants a family and he wanted you to be a part of it. The entire bible is full of the story of God building a family that will love him, honor and reign with him forever (Ephesians 1:5) NLT. God is love, so he cherish relationship (1 John 4:7-8). The nature of God is relational and that is why He identifies himself in fatherly terms; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. When we turn to the Lord and give our lives to Jesus Christ, God becomes or Father we become His children, other believers become our brothers and sisters and the church becomes our spiritual family. STRETCH YOUR ROD

STRETCH YOUR ROD

Exodus 14:13-26
Devotional: -“But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea” (V.16)

Faith is stretching forth your rod. This rod is the word of God (Psalms 23:4). That is why you should learn to take the word in every situation. For you to have victory, you must fight with something, you don’t fight empty handed. In the kingdom of God, our rod of authority is the word of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

In the scripture we read today. The children of Israel were at a crossroad. The enemy was pursuing them into the sea, and God only instructed Moses to stretch forth the rod in his hand and the sea parted. That rod was the strength of authority, God gave it to Moses when he was called into the ministry (Exodus 4:17).

For us in the New Testament, this rod is the word of God. Take it in every situation and release it for your victory. By the rod, you can part the water of sickness and any form of affliction. Where others are not allowed easy passage, you will be able to pass through freely. And God shall be glorified in your life. Be sure you store the word of God in your heart in readiness for any occasion (Colossians 3:16). And you will always overcome. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me never to live without your rod.
