TRICKS OF THE DEVIL

TRICKS OF THE DEVIL

Luke 4:1-13

Devotional: “And Jesus answered and said to him, "Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'“ (v.8)

Jesus came to the world to establish a kingdom for God (John 18:37). This is because; God is the owner of heaven and the earth (Psalm 24:1). God made this world for the fulfillment of His plan and for His glory. But the devil has cunningly turned the world against God. The whole world lives under the deception of the devil (1 John 5:18-19). His approach is to give man pleasure and establish his kingdom and rulership in their heart. He has been using this trick from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:2-6). And people who are in quest of pleasure often sacrifices their long time blessing for a short time pleasure.

The word of God says, the devil came to Jesus to see if he can trick Him to possess Him like he did to Adam and Eve. That trick on Christ was actually met with failure. So, all his tricks on you and your family will fail in Jesus name.

Friend, please understand the motive of the devil whenever he is suggesting pleasurable ideas without godly motive to you. The trick is to enlist you under his domain. For whoever lives in sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). The pleasure offered by the devil is always temporary and for eternal regrets. Don't bow to him. Hold on to the word of God like Jesus did. No matter what you are going through, know that your God loves you. All are trials of your faith. As you stand strong in faith, the situation will bow out in Jesus name (1 John 5:4, Daniel 3:23-25). Peace.

Prayer: Lord strengthen me by faith to stand
