GOOD SHEPHERD

GOOD SHEPHERD John 10:11-16  Devotional:- "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gave his life for the sheep”. (V. 11) Shepherds are one of the most caring people on earth. They value the lives of the sheep. They risk their life many times to save the life of the sheep. They follow the sheep wherever they go and lead them To green grass where they enjoy fresh food for their nourishment (Psalms 23:1-6). Their presence comforts and secures the sheep. They cannot tolerate the loss of any of them. So they watch over it so dearly. If anyone is missing, they take pains to look for it till they find it, and when it is found, they celebrate it (Luke 15:4-7). So also is the love of Jesus to you. He is your good shepherd. That is why He laid down His life for you. He died that you might live. He cares for you (I Peter 5:7). He cannot afford to see you in suffering. Whatever you are passing through now is for your glory (Romans 8:18). Everything shall turn to your testimony (Luke...

BLESSINGS

BLESSINGS

Matthew 5:1-12
Devotional: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (v. 10)

One major characteristic of God is that, He loves to bless His people. That is why the citizen of the kingdom can have access to His blessings. This is one of the reasons Jesus went on the cross to deliver us from a life of curses and spells of the wicked ones and to give us the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14).

Jesus is showing us the ways to the blessings of the kingdom of God. He says those who are poor in the spirit will receive the heaven’s blessing. To be poor in the spirit is to look at self less and more unto God. This will open heaven over you. Blessed are those who refuse to be complacent or satisfied but seeking God always, their time of comfort will come. Blessed are the meek (patience, teachable, and humble) they shall access the secrets of heaven blessings (Matthew 5:5). To be hunger and thirsty for God is to long to know and please God always (Matthew 5:6).

The merciful will also receive mercy (Matthew 5:7). The pure in heart are those by faith are free to relate with God, they will find God (Matthew 5:8). The peace maker shall be honored (Matthew 5:9). The persecuted for Christ sake will be highly recompensed in eternity (Matthew 5:10).
Take time to build this virtues to your life and you will experience eternal blessings of God. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to connect with your eternal blessing.
