ASK

ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

THE FATHER

THE FATHER

Luke 11:1-8
Read:- “So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven” (V. 2)

One of the reasons most people don’t understand the kingdom of God is because they do not see God as a father. Jesus came to connect us to God as our father. The reason for this is because they consider God to their earthly father who does not mostly operate by fatherly principles. The reason some can’t take God as a father indeed is because they feel He does not care for them (1 Peter 5:7). They feel, they pray and He does not answer. That is why so many people silently feel disappointed in God (Luke 11:5-8).

The truth is that, there is no father like God. But we should know that His ways are different from our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). When we think He does not answer us, He has given us the best for that season (Luke 11:11-13). He can see beyond what we can see. He knows far more than we know (Romans 11:33). Often time, when we think He is doing badly, He is actually doing well, but because we can’t see much, we blame Him. We are often limited by this physical body to see many things.

Friend, take God as a true father from now because there is no one who can father like Him. When you start to figure Him as your father indeed, then you start to enjoy His fatherly care. (1 Peter 5:7). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, make me a testimony of your fatherly care.
