ASK

ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

CITIZEN OF THE KINGDOM

CITIZEN OF THE KINGDOM

Philippians 3: 17-21
Read: “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (v. 20)

There are only two kingdoms in the realm of the spirit and dual citizenship is not permitted. The two kingdoms are; kingdom of God and of the devil, Kingdom of light and of darkness, Kingdom of righteousness and of sin, Kingdom of goodness and evil. If a man is not a citizen of the kingdom of God, he is automatically a citizen of the kingdom of the devil. That is why some people, though they go to church, yet will not be in heaven with Jesus (Matthew 7:20-23)

The word of God says, our citizenship is in heaven. This means the spirit in us is that of God, the creator of heaven and the earth. It is true we are on the earth but we are not of the earth (John 17:16). That is why as a child of God, heaven ought to be your final destination.

A major factor that differentiates the citizen of these two kingdoms is the life they live. A citizen of heaven is saved and redeemed by the blood of the lamb and he or she knows (John 1:12, Revelation 5:9-10). A citizen of heaven does not live in sin (1 John 3:8-9). He does not follow the way of the world (James 4:4, Romans 8:7). He does not desert the fellowship of children of God for human pleasure (Hebrew 10:25).  He enjoys serving in the kingdom of his father (Psalm 122:1). These are the people who can overcome in this wicked world and please the Lord. Make up your mind to be a citizen of the kingdom of God and you will be ready for eternity with God. Peace

Prayer: Lord, give me a permanent stay in your kingdom.
