  NATURE OF LOVE I Corinthians 13:1-8  Devotional:- "suffers long and is kind .. does not envy.. does not parade itself…” (V. 4). Since men do not have the actual understanding of love, they turn it into lust. And now it is lust most people call love. It is the reason for most frustration and discouragement today. The scripture we read today revealed to us the true nature of love. It reveals to us that no man’s service shall be acceptable or profitable until he puts in love (v. 1-3). The beautiful thing about the nature oflove is that it is the nature of God, for God is love (1 John 4:8). And if God dwells in us, love should also be demonstrated in us. The scripture says, love suffers long, that is why God loves to forgive his own people. Several times we have turned away from him, yet He does not turn away from us. He still looks for us. John 10:31-39
Read:- “do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?” (V. 36)


 

   Jesus is the visible image of the Godhead that we have seen in the flesh (Colossians 1:15, John 1:14). He is one with God (John 10:30). Don’t ever look at the word of God from the religious point of view; else it will not profit you. Jesus is the word of God (John 1:1-3), He is the light of life (John 1:4). Light illuminates or make of quick understanding. Without the light of life, nothing will be achieved on earth.
 
   He is the first son of God and He bought us by redemption into sonship with God (John 1:12, Hebrews 2:10). So, we have become co-heir with Christ. (Romans 8:14-17). Whatever belongs to Christ belongs to us and whatever belongs to God belongs to Christ (John 3:35). 
 
   He has conquered all the power of the enemy by finishing them on the cross (Colossians 2:14-15). God has also given him a name above all other names (Philippians 2:9-11). This is possible because the sacrifice He made by His blood was acceptable unto God. At the mention of His Name, angels respond to you. He is now a superior name to the devil. The devil must bow to His name any time and this name is been given unto you. (John 14:13-14). This is your right to power of God in the kingdom. You are a victor. Peace!
 
Prayer: Lord, let the authority of your name be in my mouth always.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
