THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. PREACHING THE GOSPEL

PREACHING THE GOSPEL

Acts 1:1-8
Devotional: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (V. 8) NKJV

It is important that every Christian should know that preaching of the gospel cannot be done by human wisdom (1Corinthians 2:5). You may want to have one on one kind of evangelism or a crusade. It could be that you want to preach the word to a group of people or the church. You will need the energy of the spirit to get result to the glory of God.

Jesus said to the disciples that they should wait for the Holy Spirit before they will start preaching. This is because human wisdom or been eloquent cannot touch the soul of men. How many good words have you heard or you read, that you obey? Only the words of the spirit have the power to move you to unstoppable actions (Joshua 1:8).

Any time you want to preach the word of God, please don't depend on what is in your head. Ask God to give you a word (Luke 12:12). Meditate on that word until God by His Spirit in you start to reveal to you the mystery in His word. Then the energy will be transmitted to you for impactful ministration. Only a word received from God that can make impactful preaching (Psalm 68:11). You will not fail in Jesus name. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the wisdom of waiting on your words daily.

“WORK OF THE SPIRIT WITHOUT THE ENERGY OF THE SPIRIT WILL BE EMPTY”
