JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

RHEMA

 RHEMA

1 Samuel 17:31-38
Devotional: -“Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God" (V. 36) NKJV

Rhema is the spoken word of God. It generates tremendous energy of the Spirit; so much that God through it creates the heavens and the earth (John 1:1-3, Hebrews 11:3). The spoken word of God is the creative force of God. All children of God can access it for the solution of all form of challenges.

Please know that the written word of God (Logos) is different from the spoken word of God (Rhema). In bracket are the Hebrew names of those different words. The written word can do nothing (John 6:63, 2 Corinthians 3:6). Carrying the Bible or mere quoting it does not result to anything. Only the spoken word can manifests the energy of the spirit.

To get the spoken word that produces the energy of the Spirit, we have to meditate on the written word ‘Logos’ (Psalms 119:97-100; Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:1-3). We get the spoken words of God as we read or listen to men who are inspired by the Holy Spirit (2Chronicles 20:10-17)

We get the spoken word of God as we learn to acknowledge the Holy Spirit for direction and our ears of the Spirit is trained to hear God (Romans 3:5-6). Please, know that in any given situation, the spoken word of God will energize you and make you strong to overcome (Ezekiel 2:2). Most of the miracles in the scripture came after the word was spoken. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me your word for the manifestation of your power in my life.
