  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. Proverbs 10:1-10
Devotional-“He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich”  (V. 4)


    The act of diligence is the act of giving the degree of attention and efforts that is require in achieving a given task. Diligence has to do with you putting yourself together to pay the price for a prize. So many will always envy a man of great achievement. Everyone like to celebrate good progress. But there is a need to learn how to be ready to pay the price.
 
   The Bible says “he who has a slack hand will become poor but the hand of the diligent makes rich” (additions mine). If anyone is not willing to pay the price, he cannot get the prize. Most people only want to go about talking and playing around, but they become jealous when they see you making progress. He that has a slack hand will become poor. Such people labour a little and relax again and again. When you are ready to give the level of degree of attention your work need to succeed, you will succeed.
 
   Friend, stop taking your work as if it does not concern you because you are on salary. You need to build the right attitude in all that you do (Luke 16:10-12). Good achievement demands diligence in any pursuit. There is a need to makeup your mind to create your desire. You don't need to envy anyone. You can do all things (Philippians 4:13). Don't give yourself to idleness and laziness. You will not be behind in Jesus name. Peace!
 
PRAYER: Lord, l receive the grace to succeed in Jesus name 
 
“PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT DILIGENT WILL ALWAYS BE DELETED FROM THE RACE OF LIFE”
