  TIME OF CELEBRATION  2 Samuel 6:11-23 Devotional:- “Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod” (V. 14) NKJV As much as this season is tagged with much celebration, the enemy often tries to see how he could poison the joy of many people to remove them from the list of people who will celebrate. It will be wisdom for you to know that happiness and sorrow are a choice. I will advise you to choose to rejoice in hope and leave sorrow for the enemy (Romans 5:22). In the scripture we read today, David and all the people were in a mood of celebration because of the advent of the ark of the Lord. But a lady could not see what was worth celebrating, and she took offence at David’s elegant celebration. And she remains barren till her death. Friend, if the coming of the ark of the Lord is sufficient to lose celebration, how much more the coming of Christ, the Son of God. Don’t let the devil push you to sorrow corner in a time like this. Proverbs 10:1-10
Devotional-“He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich”  (V. 4)


    The act of diligence is the act of giving the degree of attention and efforts that is require in achieving a given task. Diligence has to do with you putting yourself together to pay the price for a prize. So many will always envy a man of great achievement. Everyone like to celebrate good progress. But there is a need to learn how to be ready to pay the price.
 
   The Bible says “he who has a slack hand will become poor but the hand of the diligent makes rich” (additions mine). If anyone is not willing to pay the price, he cannot get the prize. Most people only want to go about talking and playing around, but they become jealous when they see you making progress. He that has a slack hand will become poor. Such people labour a little and relax again and again. When you are ready to give the level of degree of attention your work need to succeed, you will succeed.
 
   Friend, stop taking your work as if it does not concern you because you are on salary. You need to build the right attitude in all that you do (Luke 16:10-12). Good achievement demands diligence in any pursuit. There is a need to makeup your mind to create your desire. You don't need to envy anyone. You can do all things (Philippians 4:13). Don't give yourself to idleness and laziness. You will not be behind in Jesus name. Peace!
 
PRAYER: Lord, l receive the grace to succeed in Jesus name 
 
“PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT DILIGENT WILL ALWAYS BE DELETED FROM THE RACE OF LIFE”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
