A FRIEND

A FRIEND John 15:9-17  Devotional:- “...but l have called you friends…” (V. 15) In this generation, it is not a common thing to find true friends. This is someone who goes all out to see to your well-being. Someone who wants to identify with you in all situations. Someone who is not feeling fine until he sees you, someone who daily remembers to pray and intercede for you. It can be a terrible thing sometimes when you desire to share your mind with someone, and no one is willing to listen to you, or someone who could offer a little help. Sometimes we could be in need of a little encouragement, but no one to really do it. The people who are supposed to encourage us are the ones who misunderstand us and condemn us. We need to come to the understanding that God is our friend. He is not just your Lord and God. He always wants to listen to you. He is not happy when you are not (Hebrews 4:15). He is always around you. He wants to identify with you in all situations. He is not out t...

TRUST IN GOD

TRUST IN GOD

Jeremiah 17:1-10
Devotional-"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD”  (V. 7)

It's important we understand the power of trusting the Lord in helping us to create our desire in this world. So many people do not bother to grow the wisdom of trusting in the Lord. Many have concluded that trusting in the Lord does not work. Instead of learning the principle, they give up on God. They have no patience to let their prayers work out. They expect God to work at their pace. They always turn to men instead of turning to God. Friend, what will happen the day your friends can't meet your need and you have not train yourself to trust in God? It will really be bad.

Trusting God helps you create solution in an honorable way. It helps you to be self sufficient and make you a blessing and not a burden. Often, God will use people when you trust Him but not at your manipulation (Proverbs 21:1). To trust in God is to remove your hope and expectation from men and put it in God (Jeremiah 17:5). Call on Him when you have needs and learn to pray till He direct you (John 2:5; Proverbs 3:5-6; Jeremiah 33:3). When you trust in Him only, you will be patience to receive an answer from Him. He will guide you to solution.

Friend, there will always be limitations on the way of those who put man first, who think “that man and that man” instead of God. See, God has enough resources to take care of all human needs. When He directs you to men, you are sure of His flow. The giver will be happy and be bless and the receiver will be joyful. This is win-win case without shame. God will give you light. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to always trust in you.
