That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

STEPPING OUT

STEPPING OUT

Exodus 14:13-30
Devotional -“And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward”  (V. 15)

Part of the virtue for creating your miracle is your ability to step out in the face of odd circumstances. Those who experience the unforgettable power of God in their career or businesses are those who have learnt to step out even when there is no ground to step on. Those who expect all factors to be completed will not be able to achieve great things (Ecclesiastics 11:4). That is why a child of God must learn to trust in God and be willing to act in obedience to God by faith.

Moses was called by God to bring the Israelites from Egypt to the land He has promised their father Abraham. At this point in time of their journey, they have overcome many hurdles. But this particular one was so terrifying. There is no one who will see this and not be scared. So, Moses in his own understanding told the Israelites to wait but God said move on. The commandment of God was for them to move on and ride on the sea. This looks impossible. As they obeyed the Lord, and Moses stretch forth his rod, God parted the sea.

Oftentimes, we also have hurdles to cross. Such time is not a time of fear but a time to ask God for what to do. (Proverbs 3:5-6). This is very important. That is why you must get used to asking Him always. Whenever God tells you what to do, then it is time to step out by faith. Remember, God spoke to Moses first. The same thing with Peter (Matthew 14:28-29). The way to creating your own testimony is by receiving His leading and stepping out by faith. This is how to experience the miraculous. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me your word and the courage to step out
