RAISING GODLY FELLOWSHIP

RAISING GODLY FELLOWSHIP Ephesians 4:1-6 Devotional:- “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (V. 3) It is only the Holy Spirit that can raise true and godly fellowship of believers but He uses the committed members of the body of Christ who make themselves available (Ephesians 4:3). It is by God’s power this is possible but we must choose to commit ourselves to the work of the kingdom wherever we find ourselves either in the school or in different community on earth. To raise a genuine and Godly fellowship we must share the truth of the word of God and not of human philosophy (Ephesians 4:15). To raise true Godly fellowship takes humility, self-importance, and stubborn pride easily destroys fellowship. Humility is the oil that makes relationship smooth (1 Pet 5:5). To develop humility, admit your weaknesses, be patience with others’ weaknesses, be open to correction and showing others the Bible love (Rom 12:16). Humility is not thinking less of yoursel...

SELF DISCIPLINE

SELF DISCIPLINE

1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Devotional- “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified”  (V. 27)

It is almost impossible to create any good thing in life without self discipline. The truth is that with the virtue of self discipline, there is nothing in this world that any man can not achieve. This is because self discipline is putting yourself in the mould that is necessary for the formation or bringing forth a thing. Everything you need to produce demand some set of condition before it can be shapened to what you desire. A person preparing for an interview must study to come out successfully. A manager must educate, delegate and evaluate.

Paul the apostle said that he had to discipline his body not to be disqualified. In self discipline, it is the body we disciplined to adjust to a mould to create a goal. Those who cannot discipline themselves cannot achieve many things on earth. Envying someone or blaming someone is wrong. When you identify the mould or the condition to achieve anything be willing to subject yourself to it. If you think you need it and you don't know what it takes, ask those who are achieving it.

Friend, never consider your achievement and your success impossible. The word of God says “I can do all things through Christ that strengthen me” (Philippians 4:13). The information you are reading today is out to empower you by the Spirit of the Lord. You are not less than anyone in ability. You only need to discipline yourself to face it. You will succeed in Jesus name. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, whenever and wherever I need to discipline myself, let me enjoy your grace.
