GOOD SHEPHERD

GOOD SHEPHERD John 10:11-16  Devotional:- "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gave his life for the sheep”. (V. 11) Shepherds are one of the most caring people on earth. They value the lives of the sheep. They risk their life many times to save the life of the sheep. They follow the sheep wherever they go and lead them To green grass where they enjoy fresh food for their nourishment (Psalms 23:1-6). Their presence comforts and secures the sheep. They cannot tolerate the loss of any of them. So they watch over it so dearly. If anyone is missing, they take pains to look for it till they find it, and when it is found, they celebrate it (Luke 15:4-7). So also is the love of Jesus to you. He is your good shepherd. That is why He laid down His life for you. He died that you might live. He cares for you (I Peter 5:7). He cannot afford to see you in suffering. Whatever you are passing through now is for your glory (Romans 8:18). Everything shall turn to your testimony (Luke...

PURSUE

1 Thessalonians 5:12-22
Devotional- “See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all”  (V. 15)

The word pursue simply talk about a race. This is not just in a tournament alone but in all endeavors of life. This means what you are intending to create or achieve are also running, they are not static. So, if you don't pursue them you cannot catch up with them. This is a strong truth about life and this is true of anything worth being achieved.

The word of God says, you should pursue what is good for yourself and for others. This is because good things seems to be running away from people. It is like good things don't want anyone to achieve them. So, it demands that you make up your mind and run as fast as you can, to create your own desire. Many people only wants to run for a while and relax. Unfortunately, achievement of life does not recognize our different inabilities. There is a speed by which you must be running (1 Corinthians 9:24)

Friend, it is time to face the reality about your life. The ability of God to run and obtain is in you, but you must be willing to run. There is no one to run for you in many of the race of life. God is the giver of strength (Isaiah 40:28-31). You need to study the word of God for your strength (Psalms 119:97-100). Pick other relevant books for your strength ( Proverbs 24:5). Then, discipline yourself to run and you will create your own desire. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to run in the right direction for my achievements
