BEING HELP

BEING HELP Romans 12:9-20 Devotional:- “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality” (V. 13) NIV There is hardly anyone in the world who does not need help, except that they are not making any move to make something happen. So help is a need of people who are looking forward, people who have vision or people who are pursuing a life goal. If you consider yourself in need of help, then you are just one of the people on the path of success. This help could vary from the need for the right people’s assistance, counselling, or money and material. We need to understand with clarity that at any period in time, we will surely reap what we have sown (Galatians 6:7). And so we must keep sowing help into the life of others to reap help. The bible says, “Share with people who are in need“ Let us be careful not to be too need-conscious that you don’t remember to do good to others. There are people you are far better off. There are people around us who look at us as priv...

ASK

 ASK

Matthew 7:7-12
Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV

For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for.

We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14).

The bible is a book of covenant between man and God. Covenant could be in form of terms of agreement. That is the basis upon which the agreement is made. Covenants always come with conditions and promises. When you fulfill the conditions you have right to the promises.

So, as a believer, stop demanding just anything in prayers, but what God promised you in His covenant book. It is your right in God through the Lord Jesus Christ, so you boldly ask God and believe He will do them (Hebrews 4:16). And God is a faithful covenant-keeping God (Psalms 89:34). Search the bible for the promises and live in obedience to His instructions (2 Corinthians 10:5-6). Then you can approach God and ask for your rights. And you will enjoy God’s help.

Prayer: Lord, fulfil your promises in my life from now on.
“YOUR CONFIDENCE BEFORE THE LORD DETERMINES YOUR FAITH TO RECEIVE”
