HOURS OF PRAYER  Acts 3:1-10 Devotional:- “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour” (V.1) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional HOUSE OF PRAYER Support Us Acts 3:1-10 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Most people only pray or want to pray when they are faced with challenges. But for growing children of God. Prayer is not just making a demand. It is also creating time to be with our father. Much more than our request, God wants us around Him. He wants us always to speak and commune with Him.   Observing the scripture, you will discover prayer has been the habit of all men of God, including Jesus Christ (Luke 6:12). Jesus spent many of his nights praying and the days working. And when He was teaching the disciples, He said, “Pray lest you fall into temptatio...

JOY

 JOY

John 16:16-24
Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV

God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it.

The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But when the child is delivered, it is like the beginning of another life for both the mother, whom God has blessed with a baby and the baby who has been successfully brought to the world.

It means a challenging season you are going through is about to bring about a new unfolding miracle in your life. All you need to do is wait and don’t complain (1 Corinthians 10:10, Job 14:14). Faithful is He that has promised (Hebrews 10:23). And that is why no situation should break you down because you will always break through to a new joy after every situation. Your sorrow is turning around into joy from now on.

Prayer: Lord, turn my sorrow to joy.
“SORROW IS A CERTAINTY OF THE COMING JOY”
