FLOATING AXE

FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

SENSE OF INCAPABILITY

SENSE OF INCAPABILITY

Scripture Reading: Judges 6:11-21
Devotional:- “So he said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.” (V. 15)

Sometimes -we feel incapable. This is because of our different experiences of failure. In such experiences, instead of carefully looking at what was wrong, we conclude inwardly ‘we can't do it’. But looking at issues critically, we will see that we are the one who do not recognize the ability of God in us and develop it.

The Angel of the Lord salute Gideon as a mighty man of valor. But Gideon was judging himself rather as incapable. This was because he saw the enemy stronger and saw his tribe smaller and weaker. He is already having a defeated mentality. But the angel was saluting him based on the ability of God he could recognize in Gideon.

Friend, anytime you tell yourself you are not capable, you are not always right. Let us be careful of looking at our experiences in life to conclude our ability. Moses also felt incapable before God, though the ability of a great leader was in him that he did not know (Exodus 3:11, 4:10). Whenever God is giving you a dream or an idea, it is because He has kept the ability for such in you. It is therefore, your responsibility to discover your abilities and ask for the strength of God (Philippians 4:13). Divine strength comes as we meditate on the word of God for our strength (Isaiah 40:31). Arise and win. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, reveal the riches in me to me
