FORGIVING YOURSELF

FORGIVING YOURSELF Luke 22:54-62  Devotional:- “So Peter went out and wept bitterly.bitterly.” (V.62) NKJV Before a man can begin to enjoy the expressive love of God in his life, he must learn the act of self-forgiveness. Self-condemnation is always a terrible permission for the devil to take over in the life of a believer. This can make him lose his self-worth in God’s presence. It can make a believer lose his authority in Christ. It can make a believer lose his joy and build an environment of sorrow. And you need to know that the environment of sorrow removes from you the presence of God. He only dwells where there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Unforgiveness can make a man build an atmosphere of fear and then permit the presence of demons. This also breeds discouragement and frustration and makes the life of its victim miserable. The wonderful thing in the scripture we read today is that, though Peter denied Christ publicly and committed a grievous sin, he did not let...

STRENGTH

STRENGTH

Scripture Reading: Judges 4:12-22
Devotional:- “Then Deborah said to Barak, "Up! For this is the day in which the LORD has delivered Sisera into your hand. Has not the LORD gone out before you?" So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him” (V. 14)

Man becomes encouraged when he is strengthened by a leader or a mentor. We become encouraged whenever we gain strength. This is because strength boosts our ability and makes us hopeful. It is therefore important we know how to gain strength. It is by studying the word of God (Proverbs 24:5). Wherever you hear the word of God, it will penetrates into your soul and drive your emotion to action (Hebrews 4:12).

Deborah spoke the word of God to Barrack and that word encouraged him. By the strength of the word of God, he was able to conquer the enemy. And great victory was given to God’s people that day.

God has already destined you for victory (1 John 5:4). Whatever that is confronting you is not as strong as you are. This is because the great God is in you (1 John 4:4, Romans 8:31). God's word says you can do all things by the strength of Christ in you (Philippians 4:13). Stop that fear, be encouraged and you shall overcome. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to arise in your strength

“YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS IN HIS STRENGTH”
