HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

MENTALITY OF DELAY

MENTALITY OF DELAY

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 13:5-18
Devotional:- “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (V. 12)

A strong weapon in the hand of the enemy to discourage many people is the mentality of delay. We don't always consider the God factor when we think of timing. Though we often don't have anything to do to alter divine agenda, yet we have delay mentality to explain it away. There is no one that feel delayed that will not be discouraged.

The word of God says ‘when hope is differed it makes the heart sick’ But when the heart is sick such life will be sick. That is why, we need to strongly consider what is happening and what to do when we feel delayed instead of getting discouraged.

Delay may actually be as a result of the activities of the enemy. But when we have put our strength of faith together and are yet not able drive through, we the need to know that we are delayed for some reasons. It could be because God want us to grow stronger. It could be because we are not able to manage what we are expecting or we are not in the right timing for it (Deuteronomy 8:2-3). No one should relax in delay, yet no one should break his /her faith in God because of delay.

In God's way sometimes we have to wait for His promises. When we have done all we need to do (Hebrew 6:12). Let us humble ourselves to take to instructions from the Lord and obey Him (1 Peter 5:6). Don't tear down your Christians life in compromise. Encourage yourself. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me in my waiting time.

“HE THAT WILL NOT WAIT WILL WASTE”
