They can be used as a picture of yourself. You will notice that a lot of the time you have the privilege of conversing with people, something just keeps pushing you to continue talking until you overdo it. Then you’ll begin to say what you don't mean to say. Many a time, the volume of words that come out of our mouths is not what we have planned for or decided, but because we have not learned to caution our lips, which is an act of discipline. IT’S NOT OVER

IT’S NOT OVER

Scripture Reading: Genesis 37:26-36
Devotional:- “Then Midianite traders passed by; so the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt” (V. 28)

Sometimes in the life of a child of God, the enemy may look winning. But you need to settle it in your mind that the great one is in you (1 John 4:4). It may look like the promises of God has failed and may not come to pass again. But this is not true. Heaven and earth may pass away, but God will fulfill His word (Matthew 24:35).

God gave His word to Joseph that he will rule. But in the scripture we read today, it looks as if that word is about to fail. The brothers ganged against him and put him in a pit. But God touched one of them and they changed their mind to bring him out and sold him. In all of these, God was working out His own plan for Joseph (Romans 8:28).

Friend, all that you are passing through are working out God's miracle mathematics. At the end, you will locate your place. God will fulfill His promises. Those who think that you can no longer rise will be disappointed. The promises of the word of God will prevail in your life. And you shall laugh last. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, sustain my faith in your promises
