WORK IT OUT

WORK IT OUT Romans 8:18-30  Devotional:- “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (V. 28). NKJV Due to the time and distance that is involved in our period of challenges, we tend to think it is an eternal race. But that is not true. Whatever has a beginning surely have an end. Therefore, there is an end to everything. And we know the end is always glorious than the beginning (Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:30). The scripture we read today brings us into God’s provision for our beautiful end in every situation and that is why the bible says all things are working together for our good. So no matter the embarrassment of your situation, God’s love letter to you is promising you that it shall work for your good. Do you lose a job or an opportunity? It is for a better one. So you don’t need to die for that. Let the past pass and expect your coming beauty. It doesn’t matter; people may mock you now,...

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 30:1-8
Devotional:- “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God” (V. 6)

One of the ways to be stronger than the resistance of life is to learn the act of self encouragement. This is a skills you must acquire. Simply because many times in this world, people are individually busy and are all facing their own business. So expecting people to always encourage you may not be realistic.

The reason people get depressed is because they don't know how to encourage themselves whenever they are alone. Having understood that courage is a product of right and wise information we meditate upon, it then becomes easier to know where to pick up courage when there is no one to give it to you.

David simply stop weeping having remembered that the Lord was with Him and will always guide him whenever he asked for His direction. So he called for the priest to ask from God what he should do. The moment the word came from the Lord, David was encouraged to pursue. You may need to set a time aside to be with God for two or three days. Taking your Bible and other books (Proverbs 18:1) His guide will give you courage to move on. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let your strength always increase in me.

“SELF ENCOURAGEMENT WILL ALWAYS DRIVE TO THE END”
