NO OFF DUTY

NO OFF DUTY Psalms 121:1-8 Devotional:- “He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.” (V. 3) NKJV We have heard of men who are strongly secured physically yet destroyed by the enemy. Most people in the world cannot even afford the cost of security gadgets. As a matter of fact, the world is getting increasingly insecure daily. Let me quickly remind you that God has become your security (Colossians 3:3). This is because of His love for you. The reason why strong men fall victim to the enemy is that their security is not adequate, and that is because it is of man. Since man makes it, men can fault it. Men can be weary and weak. There is no way they will be there always. Do you know that you are secure in Christ Jesus? He is never off duty. He watches over you always because He loves you. No matter how insecure the world grows. They canmot meet up to His security standard. He does not slumber nor sleep. The sun cannot strike you day or the moon by nigh...

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 30:1-8
Devotional:- “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God” (V. 6)

One of the ways to be stronger than the resistance of life is to learn the act of self encouragement. This is a skills you must acquire. Simply because many times in this world, people are individually busy and are all facing their own business. So expecting people to always encourage you may not be realistic.

The reason people get depressed is because they don't know how to encourage themselves whenever they are alone. Having understood that courage is a product of right and wise information we meditate upon, it then becomes easier to know where to pick up courage when there is no one to give it to you.

David simply stop weeping having remembered that the Lord was with Him and will always guide him whenever he asked for His direction. So he called for the priest to ask from God what he should do. The moment the word came from the Lord, David was encouraged to pursue. You may need to set a time aside to be with God for two or three days. Taking your Bible and other books (Proverbs 18:1) His guide will give you courage to move on. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let your strength always increase in me.

“SELF ENCOURAGEMENT WILL ALWAYS DRIVE TO THE END”
