TAKE NO OFFENCE Luke 7:18-30 Devotional:- “And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” (v.23) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional TAKE NO OFFENCE Support Us Luke 7:18-30 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Sometimes, men easily get offended. That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

BITTERNESS

BITTERNESS

Scripture Reading: Hebrew 12:12-17
Devotional:- “looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;” (V. 15)

It is in the agenda of the enemy of God and man to drive everyone into bitterness of soul. This is because he knows that no bitter soul can enjoy a sweet life. Bitterness of soul is when a soul is filled up with all kind of negative and wrong information. This could be about people, event or a place. A person with a bitter soul assumes that everything and everyone is bad or wrong to him/her.

The word of God instruct us not to allow the root of bitterness in us. This is by identify the seed and disallow the seed in us. The seed of bitterness are negative words of fear and doubts. They are words of hopelessness and confusion. They are sowed when we become jealous and envious of others. It is sowed when you cannot handle others’ progress and we see yourself as not. It is sowed when we struggle with forgiveness or can't let go people. It is sowed when we are proud. It is sowed when we allow a sense of inferiority complex.

Friend, the seed of bitterness is everywhere, you only need to be careful not to make your heart vulnerable for bitterness. For this not to happen to us, we need to fill our heart with the word of faith (Colossians 3:16). Seeing God working all things out for our good (Romans 8:28). Filling our ear with joy of hope in our God and not in man (Philippians 4:4-8). Keep your faith and memory of the presence of God with you (Matthew 28:20). Then you will keep the seed of joy for sweetness of life. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let only your seed of joy and love be in my heart.
