It is of great importance for us to know that when the enemy is playing upon a man, it is just the enemy playing on the man’s intelligence. This means every man is ignorant in one area of life or the other. That is why you will always need to apply the wisdom of seeking counsel from others in the areas you feel they know better than you do. 

The scripture said, “Where there is no counsellor, the people fall”. Counsellors are people who are given the opportunity to see and understand more in their field. Age does not matter here. They have a better experience, and they have overcome some challenges. They are also people who always keep to this achievement in the given field. Please always keep to this wisdom. Counsel enlightens, gives direction, encourages, supports, and back-ups, delivers from chains, and liberates from sorrow and depression. Your counsellors are sometimes aged and experienced fathers. The chief counsellor is the Holy Spirit. His counsels are perfect and sure. He is a good shepherd. 

You will be wise to seek spiritual counsel from your Pastor when you face spiritual challenges. When you feel dejected and discouraged, they will always be used of God to encourage you to go forward. This exempts you from falling without remedy. Don’t stay alone. Don’t keep too many things to yourself. It could be delicate and disastrous. This year, all the tricks of the enemy against your life shall fail in Jesus’ name. 

Prayer: Lord, help me to humble myself to seek counsel.

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

  DOMINION   Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (V. 6) NKJV      At creation, man was given dominion over all that God created. This office was at that time a terrifying one for other creatures and even the devil. (Psalms 8.6; Psalms 110:1-3). It was this office that the devil was after that he had to deceive man and steal. You will observe that man was the last creature of God (Genesis 1:26). Yet he was made to have dominion over all that existed before him. The devil saw this as partiality on the side of God. He did not know that though man was the last creation yet the finest. The man was finally created to be in charge of all creation.
