Until a man puts excellence into anything he is doing, he will not excel. Many people often allow their situation to determine their lifestyle. This is because they do not know that the period of trials for a Christian is a period of test. And if you allow the situation to determine your approach to your work, that may fail. 

Though, Joseph was a slave in the house of Potiphar, yet, it did not take much time for him to become an overseer in the house. The reason is that he insisted on excellence in service. His situation does not reduce his quality of service in the house. He must have been putting a high-class touch on his work. So he soon became the overseer, even over his master. 

Friend, in that little work you are given to do in the office or in the house, please insist on good and excellent service. Do everything you are given to do in the best way. Putting quality to your service. Stop doing eye service (Ephesians 6:6-8). Do your service unto the Lord. Are you working in an organisation where you are paid so low, or your salary has not been paid for the past few months or being denied certain benefits? Yes, such is enough to reduce your quality of service, but if you persist on excellence, then you will pass God’s test, and your promotion will soon come. But if you can no longer offer your best there, then it is better to leave the place. Stop appearing poorly. Clean up and let the beauty and the joy of the Lord be upon you. Daniel ruled over the enemy because of his excellent service (Daniel 6:1-3). Soon God will set you up. And you shall be glorified. 

Prayer: Lord, grant me grace for quality service.

“QUALITY SERVICE WILL ALWAYS INCREASE YOUR STATUS”

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

  DOMINION   Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (V. 6) NKJV      At creation, man was given dominion over all that God created. This office was at that time a terrifying one for other creatures and even the devil. (Psalms 8.6; Psalms 110:1-3). It was this office that the devil was after that he had to deceive man and steal. You will observe that man was the last creature of God (Genesis 1:26). Yet he was made to have dominion over all that existed before him. The devil saw this as partiality on the side of God. He did not know that though man was the last creation yet the finest. The man was finally created to be in charge of all creation.
