Sometimes we become too mindful of the enemy and pay no attention to the covenant of God for our lives. Sometimes our challenges make us lose focus on God. We need to realise that this is the trick of the devil. He only wants to smartly disconnect us from our source. And a river that is disconnected from its source will soon dry up. 

Abraham was looking for his own way to make things happen in his life and started losing focus on God by getting another wife to fulfil the promise of God. He was trying to help God, not knowing that man’s effort would not produce God’s exploit. No matter how far you’ve moved away from God, I need to encourage you to return to Him (John 15:5). The trick of the enemy is to draw us away from God. Let us realize that strength for victory in life can only come from God (1 John 5:4). True, workable wisdom is of God and not of human reasoning. Grace for achievement and success is from God. 

To walk with Him is to give Him the highest priority in your life. Be willing to obey His commandments for your miracle (John 2:5). Obedience to His word is walking in His wisdom (Matthew 7:24). Build up and depend upon His grace in everything. Build a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Be a lover of the fellowship of children of God (Psalm 84:7). Be a promoter of the Gospel. Then God’s grace shall multiply to you for greatness. When you are walking with God, your appearance terrifies the enemy, and as soon as they hear of you, they shall submit unto you, and even stranger shall fade away from his hideout.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always put my hope in you.

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (V. 17) NLT  God has a purpose behind every problem.
