MAKING GOD HAPPY

MAKING GOD HAPPY Numbers 6:22-27 Devotional:- “May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you” (V. 25 NLT) One of the goals of our life is to make God happy. This is because the goal of worship is to make God happy. A man can make God happy when he pleases the Lord in all His ways. Job was a man who pleases the Lord in his life time (Job 1:8). Noah was another man who also pleased God in his generation (Genesis 6:8). We are living for the glory of God when we live to make God happy by pleasing the Him. To make God happy, we must love Him supremely (Luke 14:26). No one loved us as God does. He knows what no one knows about us that is why we must love Him more than ALL. It is possible to love God supremely when we relate closely with Him (Hosea 6:6; Matthew 22:37-38; Genesis 6:9). To make God happy, we must learn to trust Him completely. Noah trusted Him and built an arc even on a dry land (Hebrew 11:7). Though, he had never seen rain before yet believed God and trusted Him compl...

ON THE ROCK

ON THE ROCK

Psalms 18:1-3
Devotional:- “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (V. 2) NKJV.

One of the places of natural beauty on the earth is on the rock. When people stand on the rock, the rock itself creates a sense of firm foundation for their standing. Do you know that there are beautiful and cool waters on the rock? You can never compare the breeze on a rock to the one in a valley. When a man stands on the rock, he has a wider scope of life. He sees wider space on the earth at a glance. He stands more highly above many things. This is why the Bible compares the believer’s life to a life on the rock (Matthew 5:14-16).

I need to let you know that this rock is Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:4). Friend if Jesus is your rock, then you will not be moved. So many things may happen; a storm or wind may blow, yet you will stand. None of them will be able to destroy you. There on the rock, you will enjoy the best refreshment of the purest waters of life, which is the word of God. And there, like the eagles, you have your maximum security.

No arrow of the enemy will be able to catch up with you. They will hit the rock. No destruction, no pestilence will be able to get you. Right down, there may be thousands getting destroyed, yet you will be exempted. You will sail through all the clouds of evil and rather flourish amid famine. You will bear fruits when others are drying. You will enjoy ever-fresh and consistent waters from the rock. This is because God is your rock (Psalms 92:15).

PRAYER: LORD, BE MY ROCK AND MY FORTRESS FOREVER.

“WHERE YOU STAND DETERMINES WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND”
