STRENGTH IN GOD

STRENGTH IN GOD 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 Devotional:- “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (V4) NKJV      Many Christians today have so much confusion about their strength in God. It has made the church think that a few limited people can demonstrate the strength of God. So, multitudes are weak in strength. Though they come to church, yet in times of challenges, you see them rushing to another Christian whom they know to be stronger in God. Neglecting the fact that a New Testament believer is a potential priest and king for Christ (Revelation 5:10; Mark 16:17).

SPIRITUAL LABOUR

SPIRITUAL LABOUR

Devotional:- “Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience” (V. 1) NKJV

Now that we have begun to walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus, we must ensure our participation in spiritual labour to enjoy the restful favour of God. It is important that we know that all things that exist in the physical have first existed in the spiritual (Hebrew l1:3). All good gifts come from above (James 1:19). God’s word says God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly place (Ephesians 1:3). All these scripture establishes the fact that there are blessings spiritually provided for us. And it will take our spiritual labour to harvest them.

It Is a pity that many people have not come to the light that spiritual labour is one of the most important before you consider other types of labour. There are three types of labour the bible teaches: Spiritual labour, mental labour (Ecclesiastes 1:13) and physical labour (1 Thessalonians 4: 11). Spiritual labour is the act of growing in God to be able to claim our entire heritage in Christ (Galatians 4:7). This we will be able to do by increasing our faith in the word of God, praying and fasting or fellowshipping in God’s presence.

Today, the moment some people begin to have some possessions, they will start to neglect spiritual exercises that have great rewards (1 Timothy 4:8). They will start looking for excuses to be absent from the church. They will no longer meditate on God’s word. When the church calls for fasting and prayer, some will neglect it, only to soon run to the pastor when the devil has a grip upon what they think is their security.

As for you, understand that without God you can do nothing (John 15:5). No matter your status, never be bigger than God. Labour to enter your rest in Christ so that your peace, protection and prosperity can be guaranteed. Never neglect God in your days of comfort so that He will not neglect you when you need Him (Proverbs l:24-29). No matter what you have now much is still waiting for you in the spirit. And much more for you and your family are peace, health protection and nonstop prosperity. Learn to labour in the Lord to enter your rest.

PRAYER: LORD, HELP ME NEVER TO BE LAZY SPIRITUALLY.

“HE THAT NEGLECT GOD IN COMFORT SHALL BE NEGLECTED IN TROUBLE.”
