ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

HUMILITY TO CONNECT

HUMILITY TO CONNECT

Scripture Reading Psalms 25:8-15
Devotional:- “The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way” (V. 9) NKJV

If anyone is not humble, such cannot regularly connect with the Holy Spirit for inspiration. The word of God says pride goes before a fall (Proverbs 16:18). The reason a proud man will fall is because, there are many things our physical eyes cannot see or that man do not know. It takes humility to be guided out of any trap.

You are too precious to fall. So, you cannot degrade yourself to the level of pride. A proud man is belittling himself by subtracting the presence of God from his activities. So, he will be working or talking with mere head and human limitations, errors, mistakes etc, and this will soon bring shame to him.

Friend, you cannot descend that low. You are not made to live without God. (John 15:5). Wisdom demand that you allow Him to be part of all you are doing and by all, I mean all (Psalms 23:6; Proverbs 3:5-6). This is wisdom (Matthew 7:24). No matter your degree, fourth or seventh, you are limited in understanding. You are prone to error. Don’t be too forward. Humble yourself to ask Him to help you in all things. Then, you are out for wisdom. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always recognize my place in you.
