  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. EDIFICATION

Scripture Reading 1 Corinthians 14:1-5
Devotional:- “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” (V. 3) NKJV

    The word of God says he that prophesies does it for edification, exaltation and comfort. To edify is to equip someone to grow. It is to give what will build someone up. It is to educate or to enlighten. It is to resolve difficult questions to the understanding of the simple. What look complex become simple for everyone to grasp for their understanding and growth. This is because the more we understand the more we grow.

One of the visible evidences of the one that is inspired and speaking by the Holy Spirit is edification. Different people learn at different pace. We understand in different ways. But a man speaking by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is able to help everyone.

Friend, wherever you may be, in the house, office, church or in the community, learn to acknowledge God for the right word. What will proceed out of your mouth will always help someone to grow. This is how men will notice the virtue in you and draw closer to you. They will have great honour and value for you. You will be a blessing forever. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, make me an instrument of help to others.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
