HOPE Psalm 42:1-11 Devotional:- “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God” (v.11) NKJV If any man will experience sustaining joy, he must first be hopeful. Hope is the strength of joy. Hope is the reason for the coming joy. It is an expectation according to the will of God. It is an assurance of a coming joy (Hebrews 12:2). It is also the strength of faith (Hebrews 11:1). If there is no hope, there may also not be joy, but a man of hope will continue in joy. Oftentimes, we observe the current happenings around us, and it looks like there is no hope. The truth is that current events are not the determining factor for our tomorrow. God’s word says we cannot compare the suffering of now to the glory that is coming (Romans 8:18). EDIFICATION

Scripture Reading 1 Corinthians 14:1-5
Devotional:- “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” (V. 3) NKJV

    The word of God says he that prophesies does it for edification, exaltation and comfort. To edify is to equip someone to grow. It is to give what will build someone up. It is to educate or to enlighten. It is to resolve difficult questions to the understanding of the simple. What look complex become simple for everyone to grasp for their understanding and growth. This is because the more we understand the more we grow.

One of the visible evidences of the one that is inspired and speaking by the Holy Spirit is edification. Different people learn at different pace. We understand in different ways. But a man speaking by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is able to help everyone.

Friend, wherever you may be, in the house, office, church or in the community, learn to acknowledge God for the right word. What will proceed out of your mouth will always help someone to grow. This is how men will notice the virtue in you and draw closer to you. They will have great honour and value for you. You will be a blessing forever. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, make me an instrument of help to others.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
