JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

MEDITATION

MEDITATION

Scripture Reading Joshua 1:1-8
Devotional:- “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (V. 8) NKJV

If anyone wants to live by the inspiration of God, such must maintain a life of meditation. Remember inspiration is a product of revelation and light. This can be attained as we meditate in the word of God (Psalms 119:105; 130). That is why regular meditation in the word will put you on fire for God.

The mystery of meditation for inspiration is because spirits are transmitted by information. Jesus said “the word that I speak to you they are spirit and they are life (John 6:63). Thinking about any particular information simply transmits the spirit in the information to you (Psalms 119:97-100). That is why walking with the wise can make one wise and this is by listening to the wise (Proverbs 13:20).

Friend, anytime you are meditating in the word of God, you are drinking of the spirit of the word and building up for an inspired life. You shall be as refreshed as a watered garden (Psalms 1:1-3). To meditate in the word is to exercise an inquisitive mind. It is to be willing to know more of God. The Holy Spirit will reveal Himself to you through the word. The light of God will shine on you for your inspiration. And you will rise to shine. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me a heart for your word
