  NOT AUTOMATIC Philippians.1:1-11 Devotional:- “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (V.6 NLT) Knowing fully well that spiritual growth is one of your purpose of been on the earth, then you also need to know that developing Christ-like character takes years, it is not automatic. We open to God bit by bit. Discipleship is the process of conforming to Christ (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:13). The truth is that the journey to Christ-likeness is a life time journey. Growth involves believing, belonging (through fellowship) and becoming (through discipleship). Every day God want you to become a little more like Him (Colossians 3:10) Today we are interested in speed but God is interested in strength and stability than swiftness (2 Corinthians 3:18). The reason it takes time to grow is because we are slow learner. We often have to relearn a lesson forth or fifty times to reall...

DRINKING FROM THE SPIRIT

John 6:60-71
Devotional Verse - “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (V. 63)

    Fellowship is the act of drinking or mixing with the same spirit. Man by nature need to know that he is a spirit and when we fellowship, we share the spirit in us. You drink of mine; I drink of yours. This is possible because we are fellowshipping together.

As Jesus was teaching, He told the people that except they eat His body and drink His blood, there will be no life of God in them (John 6:53-56). Because of this revelation many turns away from following Jesus. But that is the truth. Whenever we are fellowshipping with God, we are drinking of the spirit of God. And anytime anyone is fellowshipping with the ungodly, he is drinking with the same spirit with them (Proverbs 11:30).

Friend, this is the power of fellowship. It is far more than ordinary gathering. It is a divine fellowship for a divine union. This is the reason people behave like the people they keep fellowshipping with. That is why you must mind where you fellowship so that you don’t unite with a wrong spirit.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always drink from your Spirit

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
