That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

THE PREPARATION OF THE HEART

THE PREPARATION OF THE HEART

SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 16:1-7
DEVOTIONAL: “The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD” (Vs. 1).

It is often said that proper preparation prevents poor performance. God has given the task of the preparation of the heart to man before we will expect God to give us result. This is simply our part in His divine plan (Hebrews 11:40). So, if we want to have our prayers answered, we must prepare our hearts for it. Remember, God listens to the voice of our hearts more than He listens to the voice of our mouths (1 Samuel 16:7)

To prepare our hearts for a time of effective prayers which attract answers, we must understand what strengthens our hearts before God.  Remember, every mind has three compartments such as the intellect, the emotion and the will power. Each of these parts have their roles to play in our success. The one that is very vital for our decision to act on faith is our will power. A man with a strong will power will always make progress. One receives strength in his will power with confidence and courage, when being inspired by the word of the spirit, the word of God. When this happens, your strength becomes doubled (Job 32:8, Joshua 1:8). This is the reason God instructed Joshua to meditate on the word for his prosperity and good success.

Always sit down to meditate on the word of God wich has been covenanted to solve your problems. When you do this, your mind will be positioned to receive the confidence you need to stand before God for any answer you desire. Your testimonies will also be inevitable. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, inspire my heart to courageously seek you for my answers (Hebrews 4:16).
