SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. FERVENT PRAYERS

FERVENT PRAYERS

SCRIPTURES: James 5:13-18
DEVOTIONAL: “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (Vs. 16).

If God will always answer our prayers, then we must also understand the place of fervency in prayers. To be fervent is to be strongly focused on God and stay connected to the purpose of our prayers. It is displaying a passionate intensity on our prayer lives. For us to be fervent in our prayer lives, we must learn to go to God with a purpose and determined heart to receive from Him. When we connect with God in the attitude of faith, He would be attracted to us.

As much as people have needs, some still come to God with a 50/50 devotion. A fervent prayer comes from a strong heart built strong by faith in the word of God. Isaac prayed with fervency for his wife to conceive (Genesis 25:21). Hannah prayed with fervency and she received Samuel (1 Samuel 1:27). You and I can always receive whatever we need if only we learn to pray fervently. Instead of our challenges weighing us down, let us come boldly in faith and with the determination of not taking a “No” for an answer. As we do this, heaven will be opened for us and we shall have testimonies.

Prayer: Lord, it is time for my prayers to be answered in Jesus name.

“IF YOU ARE DESPERATE ENOUGH, YOU WILL GET ENOUGH FROM GOD”.
