SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. DOUBT

DOUBT

SCRIPTURE: JAMES 1:5-8
Devotional:- “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind” (Vs. 6)

To be doubtful is to be double-minded about God. To have a double mind is to believe God 50/50 and not totally. This is trying to plant something else in one's mind while pretending to trust in God.

Doubt is a product of fear and it is the opposite of faith (2 Tim. 1:6). Without faith, no man will be able to receive from God (Hebrews 11:6). We are usually in fear because we do not know God and His word. It is our contact with the word of God that builds faith in us (Rom. 10:17).

A doubtful Christian is a double-minded person. The Bible says that such people will receive nothing. That is why instead of doubting God as a child of God, you should build up your faith continually. You can do this by regularly studying the word of God, listening to messages of faith and reading books written by men of God to inspire faith in you.

Every time you ask anything in faith, you commit God to answering your prayers (Mark 9:23) which He is always glad to do. Henceforth, your prayers will always be answered in Jesus' Name. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, teach me to always ask and receive.
