THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. RELATIONSHIP MATURITY

RELATIONSHIP MATURITY

SCRIPTURE: 1 PETER 3:7-12
DEVOTIONAL:- “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered”.  (Vs. 7)

One other factor that we have to be careful about is our relationships. Our relationships are meant to make our lives better (Eccl. 4:9-12). Our relationships are expected to help our lives because they are suppose to give us good companionship that will take us out of loneliness.

We need to be careful about our relationships so that the devil doesn’t make it a companionship of bitterness, anger, strife and malice. Sometimes, some people are so wounded by their spouses that they find it very difficult to forgive them. This can cause hindrances to prayers if not properly managed.

In our scripture for today, we are instructed to live in understanding with our families. This means that we need to know one another's weaknesses and strength. We need to understand the diversity in one another's view of life. It is on this ground that tolerance and endurance will make us stay together. We will also patiently grow in love and harmony. You must build a good relationship so that you do not carelessly allow your relationship to hinder your prayers. Always live with your spouse or with people in understanding. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to be mature to enjoy my relationships.
