SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. HIS WILL

HIS WILL

SCRIPTURE: 1 JOHN 5:14-17
DEVOTIONAL:- “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (Vs.14)

Having looked at some causes of unanswered prayers in the kingdom of God, a major solution is that, we must pray according to the will of God. Praying contrary to the will of God is asking God to break His rules so as to answer our prayers. The Bible says that God honours His words more than His names (Psalm 138:2). So, please don’t ask God for something contrary to His will for you because He will not answer.

The will of God is His covenant word that contains His plans and practices. The will of God is the written word sealed by the blood of Jesus as our heritage through Christ Jesus. The will of God is what God has promised to do for us in His word as His children. To ask God to break His rule is to make Him commit sin which He will never do (Psalm 89:34).

To ask according to God's will, is to first locate His promises for us in the Bible. Having done that, we can then present our requests to Him in prayers (Isaiah 41:21). Whenever we ask according to His will, He will hear and answer us. Learn to take advantage of this knowledge and your prayers will always be answered. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, show me your will for my needs today

“WHEN IT IS ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, IT IS SURE”
