That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. PURSUE PEACE

PURSUE PEACE

SCRIPTURE: PSALMS 34: 8-18
DEVOTIONAL: “Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it” (V. 14)

The word of God is very clear about what could hinder prayers from being answered. That is why it is important that we don't relate with God occasionally but regularly. One of the factors that can hinder prayers is lack of peace with people. This is not relating freely with people. It will therefore be wisdom to learn to freely relate with people.

Today’s word admonishes us to pursue peace with everyone. This is because if we don’t pursue peace with people, we may not be able to establish righteous relationships. Shooting trouble is very easy, but being at peace with people costs a great deal.

Making peace with people is so important because the word of God tells us that without it, we may not be able to see God. This means that people who want to have their prayers answered, have no option than to seek peace with their offenders. So, choose to be at peace everywhere and with everyone. When people are not at peace with you, just seek peace with them and the doors to your answers shall be open. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, ordain me a man of peace

“PEACE IS AN EVIDENCE OF THE PRESENCE OF GOD”.
