MADE TO GLORIFY GOD

MADE TO GLORIFY GOD Revelation 4:1-11  Devotional:- “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created” (V. 11) The first major purpose of your life is to bring glory to God (Isaiah 43:21). That is why it is built into your sub-conscious mind to worship. When you understand the place of worshipping God in all things, you will no longer feel insignificant. Bringing glory and pleasure to God is what we called worship. God is always happy with those who worship Him (Psalm 147:11). Please note that anything you do to bring glory, honour or pleasure to God is an act of worship. We are wired by God to worship. If you don’t worship God, you will worship yourself. We often see some things as worship and others as none. We think we go to worship service but worship is more than just been in the church. It is a life style. Worship is more than music or a particular style of music. To some people when ...

PRAYER IS RELATIONSHIP

PRAYER IS RELATIONSHIP

SCRIPTURE: LUKE 11: 1-4
DEVOTIONAL: “So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven” (Vs. 2).

If any child of God will enjoy answers to his or her prayers, he/she must first understand that prayer is a relationship with God. As we all want to ask God for our needs, He also wants to answer us but, we must understand His need and meet it for Him to meet our needs. God wants a relationship with you (John 4:23). Prayer is first relationship, before it becomes an opportunity to share.

In our Scripture for today, Jesus taught His disciples how to pray. He was able to teach them after building a relationship with them. He taught that we should first call God our father. The Father and son relationship is not ordinary because sons are treated specially by their fathers.

Friend, don’t be like people who just want to collect blessings from God and go away. God needs you to be committed with Him in a relationship. Don’t be a stranger to God or His house, but first join His family. Having done that, be sure that your heart is given totally to God. Take time out to relate with Him daily by studying His word, worshipping Him and asking for your needs in prayers. That way, you will no longer be a stranger to Him. You will be used to His words and His voice (John 10: 4, 14). It is then you will ask anything from Him and receive. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to give you room in my life as my Father.

“EVERY GOOD FATHER IS ALWAYS READY TO GIVE HIS SON ANYTHING HE DESIRES”.
