PROTECT YOUR HEART

Image
PROTECT YOUR HEART  Proverbs 4:20-27 Devotional:- “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (V. 23) NLT      Everyone is born with a strength capable of rising to greatness. In every growing child is a seed of greatness. It is this strength that makes the youth so creative and energetic. That is why each young person looks at the future with great hope. The enemy tries to destroy this strength. As strong as many started in life, not many could strike the chord of success because their strength was destroyed.

STEPPING OUT

Image
STEPPING OUT Genesis 6:13-22 Devotional:- “Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did” (v. 22)      Faith is acting according to the instructions of God. When you are taking steps as God instructed you, not minding the challenges and the situation, you are compelling God to step into your life for a miracle.

FAITH OF MOSES

Image
FAITH OF MOSES Hebrews 11:23-29 Devotional:- “By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible” (V. 27)      Moses was a man born and preserved by faith. That is why we all need to grow our families especially our children in faith (Proverbs 22:6). A child taught in the faith from childhood will grow up bold and courageous in the face of the battle of life. A child nurtured in the faith will always be an overcomer in the midst of life challenges.

EXPECTING THE SUPERNATURAL

Image
EXPECTING THE SUPERNATURAL John 6:5-14 Devotional:- “Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand” (v. 10)      Faith is expecting the supernatural. It is knowing in your heart that God will surely show up and step in. When people don’t know what to do, the next is to start panicking in fear. But haven done all you know how to do, commit the rest to the Lord, because you know He will step in.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

Image
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY 1 Samuel 30:1-10 Devotional:-“But David pursued, he and four hundred men; for two hundred stayed behind, who were so weary that they could not cross the Brook Besor” (V. 10)      Faith is taking responsibility. It is taking action having heard from God. It is rising to action because you know that God is with you. It is facing challenges with courage. It is acting in wisdom, knowing fully well that God will step in and there will be victory.

CARING FOR GOD’S SERVANTS

Image
CARING FOR GOD’S SERVANTS Joshua 2:1-14 Devotional:- “Then the woman took the two men and hid them. So she said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from” (V. 4)      Faith is caring for the servants of God. This is an act of showing kindness to people on assignment for God. Whoever that supports a man or woman of God, is doing it for God (Matthew 10:40-42). It is creating a conducive environment for the servants of God to carry out the assignments of the father.

SACRIFICING

Image
SACRIFICING Hebrews 11:17-19 Devotional:- “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son” (V. 17)    Faith is sacrificing. This is an act of wiliness to part with something so dear to you because God instructed you. Sacrificing is an act of obedience to honour and worship the Lord. Whatever you sacrificed to honour God becomes an instrument of worship. God will always test anyone He wants to bless with an instruction to sacrifice. It is when you obey that you are ready for promotion (Genesis 22:1-3).

PURSUIT OF VISION

Image
PURSUIT OF VISION Genesis 12:1-9 Devotional:- “And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the Lord” (V. 8)      Faith is pursuing your vision. It is directing your energy or passion in the direction of your conviction. It is putting in your best to pursue a goal. Remember, faith does not make things easy but it makes it possible. The reason people fail is that they pursue their goal and soon give up. Faith is staying there till it works (Hebrews 6:12).

CONCEPTION

Image
CONCEPTION Genesis 21:1-7 Devotional:- “For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him” (v. 2)      Faith is the ability to conceive. It is by faith that a woman can receive the strength to conceive (Hebrews 11:11). Some times because some things have become a regular experience, we tend to forget the fact that there is a process to it. That is why you must not allow science to just explain some things that can take away the aspect of God. That way, we tend to think they just happened, so, when they fail we get confused.

OBEDIENCE

Image
OBEDIENCE Joshua 6:8-20 Devotional:- “So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city” (V. 20)      Faith is obedience to God’s instructions. It takes faith to obey divine instruction. Whenever we ask God in prayers, He always answer us with instructions. Most of the time those instructions are not easy to carry out but it takes faith.

SUPERNATURAL ENERGY

Image
SUPERNATURAL ENERGY Luke 24:19-32 Devotional:-“And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” (V. 32)      Faith is receiving the supernatural Energy. It is having the supply of the strength of the spirit. It is the release of the strength of God to man through the word of God. It is the transferring of the energy of God into man (John 10:34-35).

PRAISE AT WAR

Image
PRAISE AT WAR  2 Chronicles 20:20-30 Devotional: “Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated” (V. 22)    Faith is praising God at the war front. It is your ability to hold yourself together and appreciate God in the midst of unpleasant situations (1 Thessalonians 5:18). It is seeing God as a good God when all things look so bad (Psalm 100:5). Faith is rejoicing in the mercy of the Lord when it looks like all hope is lost (Romans 4:18-20).

RAISING GREAT CHILDREN

Image
RAISING GREAT CHILDREN Exodus 2:1-10 Devotional “So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months” (V. 2)      Raising great children is an act of faith. It is because we believe our children shall be great that we pay great prices to raise them. It is an act of faith that we gather our strength to help the children grow right. After all, we do not know what they will become in their future, yet we are committed as parents by faith.

BLESSING LIVES

Image
BLESSING LIVES Genesis 27:21-29 Devotional:- “Let peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, And let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!” (V. 29)      Faith is pronouncing God’s blessing on other lives. To bless other lives is to invoke the blessings of God on them. Faith is knowing that our mouth is anointed to bless. Faith is knowing that the blessing we pronounced on people shall manifest (Genesis 27:33)

WALKING WITH GOD

Image
WALKING WITH GOD  Genesis 5:18-24 Devotional “And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” (V. 24)      Faith is walking with God. To walk with God is to follow God in the journey of life. Most people want God to follow them but faith walks with God. To walk with God is to always allow Him to lead and direct us in all things, I mean in all things (Proverbs 3:5-6).

SENDING THE WORD

Image
SENDING THE WORD Psalms 107:12-22 Devotional- “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions” (V. 20)      Faith is sending the word of God. This is releasing the word of God on assignment on your behalf. This is commanding the word to take responsibility over a given situation. To send the word is to allow the word to take charge of the affairs of our lives.

STANDING FEARLESSLY

Image
STANDING FEARLESSLY 1 Samuel 17:30-37 Devotional:-“Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine” (V. 32)  Faith is standing fearlessly. To stand fearless is to entertain no weak mind. It is to face the enemy with full confidence. It is to refuse to shake at the face of fear and be an intimidation to fear. It is to nurse no fear in the midst of any situation. This is a realm that you will always operate in when you are truly living by faith in the word of God.

STRETCH YOUR ROD

Image
STRETCH YOUR ROD Exodus 14:13-26 Devotional: -“But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea” (V.16)      Faith is stretching forth your rod. This rod is the word of God (Psalms 23:4). That is why you should learn to take the word in every situation. For you to have victory, you must fight with something, you don’t fight empty handed. In the kingdom of God, our rod of authority is the word of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

INSISTING ON THE COVENANT

Image
INSISTING ON THE COVENANT Matthew 7:24-29 Devotional: “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock” (V. 24)      A life that is not standing for something is falling for something. Many Christians do not know that they belong to a different kingdom. He who is not standing for the kingdom of God is falling for the kingdom of the devil.

REJOICING IN HOPE

Image
REJOICING IN HOPE Roman 4:16-22 Devotional:- “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God” (v. 20)      Faith is rejoicing in hope, it is rejoicing even when there are no physical evidence of that promises of God. It is rejoicing because of the ability of God to perform His word. It is rejoicing based on the faithfulness of God.

GIVING

Image
GIVING 1 kings 17:8-16 Devotional:- “So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days” (V. 15)      Giving is an act of faith. If you know someone who don’t give, it is not because he does not have alone but because he is afraid of parting with what he has. The fear is that if I part with what I have, what will now remain? How will i get another one? This fear is because most people do not know God to be a great provider.

REFUSING TO DOUBT

Image
REFUSING TO DOUBT Mark 11:20-24 Devotional:- “Therefore i say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (v. 24)      Doubt is the opposite of faith. Whenever you are refusing to doubt you are operating in faith. Ninety percent of information we receive in this world always want to instill fear into us and make us play save. Not many words we hear tells us the great things we can do. So when you are talking faith, people see you as an extremist.

WALKING ON THE SEA

Image
WALKING ON THE SEA Matthew 14:22-33 Devotional:- “So He said, “Come” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus” (v. 25)      Faith is walking on the sea. The surface of the sea is not a road or a ground, so the mind of man will not imagine that happened. The sea here therefore referred to stepping into impossible thing of life. Until you are ready to step into impossibilities, the supernatural will not respond to you. Sea is a symbol of impossibilities. There are situations in our lives that look impossible; heights we have never climb before, status we use to dream of and the financial intimidations had made us to abandon.

SPEAK WITH AUTHORITY

Image
SPEAK WITH AUTHORITY Matthew 8:5-13 Devotional:- “The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed” (v. 8)      When you take the word of God as authority you are taking faith. The truth is that one of the ways that authority is demonstrated by the spoken word. When the president of a country speaks, his word has to be carried out because it has become an authority (Ecclesiastes 8:4)

SPEAKING WHAT GOD SAYS

Image
SPEAKING WHAT GOD SAYS Hebrews 10:19-25 Devotional:- “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (v. 23 )      Faith is saying what God is saying. As a citizen of the kingdom of God, you must understand that you can’t keep living like the people of the world and be qualified before the Lord (James4:4) A major factor that identifies you as a citizen of a country is when you speak the language of that country.

THINKING THE WORD WAY

Image
THINKING THE WORD WAY Ephesians 3:14-21 Devotional:-“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (V. 20)      Faith is thinking the word of God. This is taking the word to mind. It is letting your thoughts align only with the word of God. It is important that we know that there are two major means of exchange in the realm of the spirit. They are our words and our thoughts (Number 14:28; Ephesians 3:20)

SEEKING THE WORD

Image
SEEKING THE WORD John 30:24-31 Devotional:- “Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen ME, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” v29 (NKJV)      Faith is seeing what God is saying. Man is a spirit and he has a soul and dwell in the body (1 Thessalonian 5:23). Because man is a spirit, this makes it possible for man to relate with God who is a Spirit (John 4:24). There are therefore some spiritual features in us that we must retain to use for our advantage. Part of it is our ability to imagine or see the invisible in our mind.

RESTING IN HIS PROMISES

Image
RESTING IN HIS PROMISES Mark 4:35-41 Devotional:- “But he said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” (v. 40)      The evidence of faith is rest. Fear builds tension in us. It is because of fear and doubt that man has invented hypertension and high blood pressure. They were not part of the creature of God but of man through sin. Fear always break the courage of men to act out for result. As potent as the creation of man, as latent a destiny can be without faith. Circumstances will always look threatening and only the Spirit of God can breathe on us to act positively against negative circumstances (Job 32:8).

ACCEPTING THE WORD

Image
ACCEPTING THE WORD Genesis 17:15-17 Devotional “But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year”(V. 21)      It is the word of God that produces faith. Though, God is not physical but His word produces faith when His word come to you and you accept it. Just as we search the Bible through meditation to take faith, so also the word of God can be transmitted into our spirit as it is been spoken to us. Faith will only grow in us for our miracle when we accept the word of God personally (Romans 10:17).

TAKING THE WORD

Image
TAKING THE WORD   Ephesians 6:10-20 Devotional: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (V. 17)    People can only exercise faith when they learn to take the word of God. This shows that every genuine Christian must be responsible to experience God. Irresponsible people cannot enjoy God. There is always a part for you to play (Hebrews 11:40)

FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIANITY

Image
FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIANITY Romans 1:11-17 Devotional: “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith”” (V. 17)      It is important we know that Christianity is not a religion. A religion is human approach to worshipping God. Religion is a belief or a worship of a deity or a controlling power. Much more than this, Christianity is a lifestyle. It is a lifestyle of faith. It is a relationship with God. Jesus came to connect us to the father (John 20:17).
