RIGHTEOUSNESS

RIGHTEOUSNESS 2 Corinthians 5:14-21  Devotional:- “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (V. 21) NKJV It is because of the love of God that we are called the people of God today (Romans 9:25). This has created an eternal problem for the devil. In the Old Testament, many people tried to please God, but they were not able, and this brought destruction upon them. The Bible mentioned that Jesus, when He died, went to hell to free the saints (1 Peter 3:19). These are men who had lived all their lives to obey the law, yet were not able to reach the mark of righteousness. Today, the righteousness they were not able to attain, we have effortlessly attained. This is not because we are better than they were, but because we are children born in due season. This is the righteousness referred to in the scripture as imputed righteousness (Romans 4:6-8). This righteousness is given to us through faith in the Lord Jesus Chri...

LOOKING UNTO JESUS

LOOKING UNTO JESUS

Hebrews 12:1-2
Devotional: “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Vs. 2).

Many people pray to God, yet they cannot see Him. Do you know that seeing is believing? For example, if you don’t see a chair, you will not attempt to sit on it. This can be applied also to praying to God whom you cannot see. This can mean that you are doing something you are not sure of. You can’t see God as you pray and not receive an answer from Him.
The Bible says that, we should look unto Jesus whenever we pray. As we close our physical eyes, we should always open our spiritual eyes so that we can see Jesus on the throne. The word of God tells us that He is seated at the right hand of God. Apostle Stephen saw the Lord at the point of his martyrdom (Acts 7:55-56). Saint Mark saw Him (Mark 16:19), Apostle Paul saw Him (Romans 8:34) and Apostle Peter saw Him (1 Peter 3:22).

Every time you see Jesus on the throne in your imagination, your faith and confidence increases. Sometimes, I arrange two chairs to pray, one for myself and one for Jesus, so that we can discuss face to face. The Bible says that they looked unto Him and were not ashamed (Psalms 34:5). As you look unto Him, your shame shall be converted to honour henceforth in Jesus name (Isa. 45:2) Peace!

Prayer:  Lord, help me to always see you in my prayer time.

“YOU CAN’T SEE JESUS AND NOT RECEIVE FROM HIM”.
