RIGHTEOUSNESS

RIGHTEOUSNESS 2 Corinthians 5:14-21  Devotional:- “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (V. 21) NKJV It is because of the love of God that we are called the people of God today (Romans 9:25). This has created an eternal problem for the devil. In the Old Testament, many people tried to please God, but they were not able, and this brought destruction upon them. The Bible mentioned that Jesus, when He died, went to hell to free the saints (1 Peter 3:19). These are men who had lived all their lives to obey the law, yet were not able to reach the mark of righteousness. Today, the righteousness they were not able to attain, we have effortlessly attained. This is not because we are better than they were, but because we are children born in due season. This is the righteousness referred to in the scripture as imputed righteousness (Romans 4:6-8). This righteousness is given to us through faith in the Lord Jesus Chri...

BITTERNESS

BITTERNESS

HEBREWS 12:12-17
DEVOTIONAL:-“Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled” (Vs. 15)

Bitterness is an evidence of unforgiving heart. When we don’t forgive, we nurture hatred in our hearts against our fellow brothers or sisters. You know that the devil always wants to make us bitter, so that we don’t manifest love as the Bible commands us (Luke 10:27). This is why we must not heed the advice of the devil as children of God.
Whenever people offend us, we must find a place in our hearts to forgive them. If we don't, we will start ruminating on what they have done to us. In the course of doing this, the devil will start measuring the length and breadth of the offence. As he does this, the motive of the action (offence) that was not recognized before will be revealed to us. This is simply to complicate the matter and make it impossible for us to forgive so that when we see our offenders, we will become angry and bitter.

Friend, whenever we give room for bitterness in our heart, we disallow God from answering our prayers. God’s word instructs us to pursue peace with all men if we must see the Lord. Now that you understand the process of the development of bitterness, don’t ever let it happen in your life. Ask for the grace of the Holy Spirit for your liberty and your prayers shall be answered. Peace!

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to always overcome bitterness in my life.

“THE GOAL OF BITTERNESS IS TO MAKE A LIFE BITTER”
